Who am I?
My name is Captain William (Billy) Clabough, a licensed and insured Tennessee fishing guide in East Tennessee. As a Knoxville Tennessee native, I’ve had the privilege of growing up surrounded by beautiful lakes, rivers, and creeks. As a young child, my parents would take me on fishing trips all over. Without a doubt, I quickly became hooked on the thrill of the catch. Once I was a teenager, I quickly bought and modified my own small jon boat—and the obsession took off from there.
Since then, I’ve spent countless hours exploring the many waterways in East Tennessee—having owned over 9 boats in my lifetime, from that first jon boat to large bay boats, and now a professional guide boat: a customized and very wide 20-foot Pro-Steelheader. Tennessee Fishing Guide and Tennessee Master Angler (level 3)
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of casting a line, waiting patiently, and feeling that tug on the other end! I enjoy catching all types of fish, from small sunfish to large catfish. However, I have a passion for chasing trophy fish! As a result, I have achieved the status of Master Angler level 3 in the Tennessee Angler Recognition program. This program recognizes anglers who have caught a certain number of trophy fish in various categories.
In addition to these impressive catches, I have also successfully caught a Sturgeon, which is a more rare fish. Additionally, I received a certificate for this achievement. It is a great addition to my collection of fishing accomplishments. Undoubtedly, this was my most favorite fish to catch!
